Day 01: Bombay (Mumbai)
On arrival at Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, our representative will transfer you to hotel. You will have rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Bombay
Breakfast follows a Half day trip to Elephanta Cave Island to explore beautiful ancient sculptures. Later during the day visit notable attractions of the city which includes Dhobi Ghat, Crawford market, Marine drive and old mansions of Colaba area. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Mumbai.
Day 03: Mumbai - Kochi
On the third day of the south India tour you will fly to Kochi. After some leisure in your hotel proceed for a short sightseeing tour of Cochin. You will visit the Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue, Jew town, old spice markets, St. Francis church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing nets. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Cochin.
Day 04: Kochi - Alleppey - Houseboat
Breakfast follows transfer to Alleppey by road. Thereupon board your exclusive houseboat that will quietly sail through the beautiful Kerala backwater canals all day and night, a tropical sojourn not to be missed! Overnight onboard the house boat.
Day 05: Kumarakom
Alight your houseboat and check in your resort at Kumarakom. Kumarakom is an island with a beautiful bird-sanctuary and extremely serene atmosphere.
Day 06: Kumarakom - Periyar
Drive uphill through beautiful spice plantations and finally reach Periyar National Park, one of the beautiful wildlife sanctuaries in India to see wild elephants. You will have rest of the day free to explore on own. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 07: Periyar
Breakfast follows a visit to the National Park on boat over Periyar Lake where several wild animals congregate at different times. Overnight stay will be at the hotel/resort.
Day 08: Periyar - Madurai
Drive out of Kerala hills and reach Tamilnadu plains, the Dravidian heartland. Visit the Thirumal Nayaka Palace and the Dravidian masterpiece, the Meenakshi Sundereshwar temple, which makes the city of Madurai so famous. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Madurai.
Day 09: Madurai -Thanjavur
Breakfast follows drive to the fertile rice growing plains of River Cauvery, via Tiruchirapally. There, you can visit the the Srirangam temple and then continue to the Chola citadel of Tanjore. Visit the World heritage Brihadishvara temple. Overnight stay will be at Thanjavur/Tanjore.
Day 10: Thanjavur- Pondicherry
After breakfast you will be driven to the erstwhile French colony of Pondicherry, the land of beautiful boulevards, gothic structures and quiet beaches. You will have rest of the day free to relax and unwind. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 11: Pondicherry
In the morning you will head for a boat trip to see dolphins. During the day you will visit the Auroville (city of dawn), the famous center for spiritual learning and meditation named after Guru Sri Aurobindo Ghosh. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Pondicherry.
Day 12: Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram
Driving through fertile Coromondal coastline, you will reach Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram, near Chennai, is famous for its shore temples and other monuments which are in a form of epic recreated on stone. Overnight stay will be at Mahabalipuram hotel.
Day 13: Mahabalipuram - Chennai
In the morning you can go for a walk over the seashore and explore the temples on own. Later, you will be driven towards Chennai and visiting the Dakshinchitra (an art and craft heritage center) on your own. You will have rest of the day free to move around in Chennai for shopping etc. Also visit one of the many famous auditoriums for live performance of Indian classical dances. Overnight stay will be at Chennai.
Day 14: Chennai
Breakfast follows a sightseeing trip of the city. Also visit Kalakshetra, the world famous cultural center founded by Rukmini Devi Arundale and the Theosophical society with its huge Banyan tree (Theosophical society of India was founded by Dr.Annie Besant). Overnight stay will be at hotel in Chennai.
Day 15: Bangalore
In the morning you will board the Shatabdi Express train to Bangalore and reach there by noon. At Bangalore you will visit Cubbon Park, Lal Baug and other important public buildings within Cubbon Park. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Bangalore.
Day 16: Bangalore - Overnight Onboard the Train
Breakfast follows an excursion to Nrityagram, a center for learning of Indian classical dances set up by noted Odissi dancer Protima Bedi. Rest of day you will be free to move around the M.G.Road area. In the evening you will board the overnight Hampi Express.
Day 17: Hampi
You will reach Hospet railway Station in the morning. Thereafter you will visit Hampi that has extraordinary remnants of once great city Vijayanagara. The sheer size and majestic appearance of this historical site is amazing! You will have rest of the day free to explore around the great monuments that dot the whole area. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Hampi.
Day 18: Hampi
In the morning you will take a walking tour of the Hampi bazaar and temples. You will also cross the picturesque Tungabhadra River on a primitively designed coracle- a very different experience! Overnight stay will be at Hampi hotel.
Day 19: Hampi - Goa
It is time now to move towards the next destination of South India. After breakfast you will drive towards India's western coastline and reach Goa, the exotic tropical beach destination. You will have rest of the day free to walk around the Goa beaches. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 20: Goa
Breakfast follows a sightseeing tour of Old Goa and Panjim for beautiful churches and cathedrals. Later, you will go on a cruise on Mandovi River. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 21: Goa
Have your breakfast and spend time on your own discretion in the tropical paradise known as Goa. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Goa.
Day 22: Goa - Mumbai
Fly back to Mumbai. After checking in, you can relax a bit and then go for some shopping and later enjoy the pulsating nightlife of Bombay/Mumbai. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Mumbai.
Day 23: Mumbai Departure
You will have rest of the day free till the time of departure. Our representative will transfer you to airport to catch the flight back home.
