Day 01: Arrival at Cochin
As you reach Cochin, you start your 7-day journey with sightseeing of the city. The Old city of Cochin is blessed with some hidden gems in the form of Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace), Jewish Synagogue, Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church. After a half day’s tour, end the day with a relaxing dinner at the hotel.

Day 02: Cochin - Thrissur
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you’ll head towards Thrissur, with a small halt at Guruvayur, one of the significant pilgrimage centers of Kerala. The major attraction here is the Guruvayur Temple which houses numerous elephants offered by the devotees. Continue this short religious trip with your next destination - Vadakkunathan Kshetram Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Admire the excellent artifacts and traditional architecture of Kerala at the temple, boasting of the cultural richness of Kerala. Reach the hotel late in the evening and end the day with a delectable dinner.

Day 03: Thrissur - Kozhikode
On day three, get ready to catch the glimpses of Kalamandalam, a treasure house of Kerala performing arts. Kalamandalam is known for offering training and organizing performances on several classical ancient dance forms of Kerala, like Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Mohiniyattam, Panchavadyam, and Thullal. As you proceed further towards Kozhikode, you’ll be captivated by pristine water and virgin beach of Kappad, where the great Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama set his foot for the first time in 1498. The small stone monument located at the beach is another attraction of the beach. Enjoy a relaxing night at the hotel post delightful dinner.

Day 04: Kozhikode
After a light and refreshing breakfast, you set out for a day’s sightseeing tour of Kozhikode, particularly historical places and monuments of artistic richness. Standing tall in the heart of the city, Manachira Square is famous for some fascinating architectural gems built by the Zamorin rulers in the past. Offer prayers at the Tali Temple, a perfect example of architectural excellence of the traditional Keralite School Temple. The Mother of God Church, constructed in the Roman architectural manner, houses a 200-year old image of St. Mary, thereby attracting tourists having religious interest.

To gain some historical knowledge, drop at the Pazhassirajah Museum managed by the State Archeological Department. The museum displays some excellent pieces of art in form of ancient mural paintings, antique bronzes, old coins, models of temples, and megalithic structures. The art gallery, located adjacently, restores some brilliant pieces of art work by Raja Ravi Varma and Raja Raja Varma. Krishna Menon Museum is another highlight with a treasure of beautiful wood and ivory carvings and personal belongings of the legendary leader of Kerala, VK Krishna Menon. Do not miss out the impressive Miskhal Masjid at Kuttichira. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 05: Kozhikode - Vythiri (Wayanad)
Gobble down a luxurious breakfast as you leave early for your next destination Vythiri. An adventurous journey awaits you at Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. Explore the exotic wild, green forests, awe-inspiring nature, the lush green pastures, and the gushing waters. Wash off your tiredness by spending overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Vythiri
After an early breakfast, leave for the thrilling and adventurous 4-5 km hike at Pakshi. Spot elephants, Indian gaur, spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, and rare “barking” deer at the jungle safari. Trek up to Chembra, the highest peak of Wayanad at 2100 m above sea level, to capture the incredible and majestic views of the entire valley below. A two-hour trek from this peak will stop you at the ancient and unique carvings, paintings, and inscriptions of Stone Age at Eddakal Caves. Soojipara, one of the largest natural waterfalls in Wayanad will enthrall you with a really enthralling experience. From Muthunga, you will be accompanied by a guard in a jeep drive in the deep jungles to enjoy the amazing views of huge elephants, bears, and other wildlife. Relax at the natural Pookot Lake whilst boating, in the midst of hills and meadows.

Day 07: Vythiri - Kozhikode/Mysore/Bangalore
Indulge in an early breakfast and proceed to Kozhikode, Mysore, or Bangalore for your onward journey. This brings the end of the traditional trip, with unforgettable memories engraved for a lifetime.
